JOB summary:
The Program Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering the community, cosplay, and guest experience elements that make Sexy Nerds events unique. This position serves as the bridge between our guests, cosplay community, Discord community, and event programming team.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating cosplay guests, supporting VIP and featured guest experiences, facilitating participation in programming activities, and helping cultivate community engagement before, during, and after events. This role combines event operations, community management, guest relations, and administrative support to ensure attendees have an unforgettable experience at Sexy Nerd events.
Key Responsibilities:
Cosplay Guest Coordination
Coordinate and support featured cosplay guests and community ambassadors throughout the event, serving as their primary point of contact while facilitating scheduled programming.
Guest Experience & VIP Relations
Assist in developing and executing VIP experiences (coordinating guest perks and special access), while identifying and welcoming guest cosplayers, content creators, and other notable attendees.
Programming & Content Coordination
Ensure participating guests are aware of scheduled interviews, content creation, and promotional content opportunities.
Community Development
Promote upcoming events through Discord engagement and community outreach within the local city.
Administrative & Office Support
Maintain guest lists, schedules, contact information, and participation records.
Event Operations
Assist with front-of-house operations as needed, troubleshooting guest concerns and coordinate solutions with management.
Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown when required.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, customer service, community management, cosplay, convention programming, or related fields.
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Comfortable interacting with guests, performers, creators, and community members.
Familiarity with Discord, social media platforms, and online community management.
Passion for gaming, anime, cosplay, conventions, nightlife, and nerd culture.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and event hours.
PREFERRED Qualifications:
Experience in cosplay communities or convention culture.
Experience managing Discord servers or online communities.
Public speaking or event hosting experience.
Photography, content creation, or social media experience.
Prior involvement with Sexy Nerds events or similar communities.
Compensation:
Compensation varies based on experience, responsibilities, event involvement, and travel requirements.
Working Conditions:
